Pre-Kindergarten Teacher/Intervention
I am a 1995 graduate of Canadian High School. Go Wildcats! After high school, I began my college career at Midwestern State University. I transferred to West Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies.
I have a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Reading. I am certified to teach grades EC-8 and Special Education (EC-8). I am also ESL Certified as well as Gifted and Talented Certified.
This will be my first year at CES teaching Pre-K in the mornings and Reading Intervention in the afternoons.
I began my teaching career over 18 years ago at Margaret Wills Elementary in Amarillo, Texas. While there, I taught nine years in First Grade and the last nine as a Reading Intervention Teacher. My role as an Intervention Teacher included Reading Recovery, Leveled Literacy Intervention as well as Dyslexic Intervention.
Married to Casey Long. We have a daughter, Tessa (26) and a son, Levi (21). Our Son In-Law is Brett.
