After graduating from West Texas A&M, I was hired by Ector County Independent School District (ECISD) in Odessa, Texas in 2006. During my years at ECISD I taught at Travis Magnet Elementary.
My first six years I taught Kindergarten (2006-2012). My first group of students graduated in May of 2019!!
In the 2012-2013 school year I taught Fourth grade. I was able to have some of the same kids I had in Kindergarten. It was amazing to see how much the students grew academically. While I loved Kindergarten; Fourth grade was a new and exciting challenge for me, which I found very rewarding.
In May 2013, my family and I decided to move back to Canadian where I grew up. We wanted my daughter to experience the wonderful community and school system I was blessed with as a child.
I taught First grade from 2013- 2017.
In 2017 I joined the Second grade team and I am still in awe that I get to be a part of this wonderful school system! Go Wildcats!!
My husband, Eric and I married in 2008. Eric grew up on a wheat/cotton farm in Friona, TX. We now have a energetic fourteen year old! Esmeriah is currently at CHS where she is a freshman! She keeps us going with her piano lessons, cross country, tennis and now the high school marching band!! I also have a little boy in first grade! We have two dogs running around our house, a boy named Tobin and Esmeriah is the proud owner of her very own yorkie named Piper. We love to visit Red River anytime we can!
When I am now schauffering my daughter around to all of her activities I love to read a variety of genres, and spend time with my family. I really enjoy snowboarding!
